Introduction

Godfather is set during the 'Roaring Twenties' and 'Troubled Thirties', the American gangster era, in Chicago, Illinois, where Al Capone carved his savage criminal empire and where you, maybe, will do the same.

In Godfather you lead a gang of men toward the goal of a massive city-wide underworld organisation. You will recruit and name top-level enforcers and bagmen, establish rackets and premises, and hire literally hundreds of hoods to back up your claims with muscle. You will control every aspect of your gang and criminal empire.  Beginning with half of a single ward, you will expand your bootleg territory, cruise the city to learn new rackets (and often eliminate the small gangs running them!), and increase your income. The pace is fast and furious, as any gangster can reach any block in the city at any time; you border everyone, and everyone will likely be out to get you, probing your turf, pinpointing weaknesses, setting up hits and raids. Of course, you'll do the same.

You will need every ounce of skill, every bit of ruthlessness at your disposal to gun down your rivals or sink them to the bottom of the river. Godfather will test your diplomatic, tactical, and economic management skills to their utmost. If you survive, you will rule Chicago; if you fail, you will at least die with the comforting knowledge that Milo & Sons will make your funeral one to remember...

Enter Chicago during the roaring 20's, and try to become Godfather of the criminal underworld.
